Our Mission
Providing opportunities for the children of Arusha to increase their literacy skills – opening new doors for their futures. Read With Me, Arusha! is a non-profit organization with a vision of helping develop the literacy skills of children in Arusha, Tanzania encouraging them to do well in school and continue their education. We are supporting three organizations this year: St. Margaret’s Academy, Samaritan Village Orphanage, and Karim Children’s Care Centre Orphanage. We will begin with a project to bring solar lights to the families of the students at St. Margaret’s Academy and the two orphanages to provide light at night for reading and studying. Currently they must resort to utilizing kerosene lamps that are unhealthy and fire hazards or purchasing expensive coal or wood for light to read by for homework.
